The founder of MEAN WELL has committed integrity philosophy toward the corporate management culture. This philosophy is not only applied to develop MEAN WELL products, but also for working with employees, suppliers, and customers. With good intentions and a down-to-earth attitude, we create a common prosperity long-term partnership. We hope all MEAN WELL partners can feel this sincerity and goodwill from MEAN WELL people and trust us because of this fact so that the mutual relationships will last longer and stable.

Brand Story



In 1982, MEAN WELL's founder, Mr. Jerry Lin established MEAN WELL enterprise in the spirit of "have good intentions".

In 1986, despite the thriving of Taiwan's OEM/ODM orders for electronic industry, MEAN WELL decided to develop standard switching power supply for industrial use and cultivate our own brand. Considering the industrial application products required high reliability in term of quality, MEAN WELL identified our brand position and promoted the slogan "MEAN WELL means Quality Switching Power Supply." We provide the best quality of power supplies based on the belief of sincerity, so that our customers feel reliable about the brand "MEAN WELL" and feel MEAN WELL represents "The Mark of Reliability."

In 1993, MEAN WELL implemented ISO9001 and Total Quality Management (TQM), which clearly defined MEAN WELL's quality policy, corporate culture, and corporate principals. The culture of "Integrity and Sincerity" have been proposed at that time, and nowadays, this spirit has become MEAN WELL corporate DNA.

In 1997, we modified our Corporate Identity System (CIS) and designed a new slogan "Your Reliable Power Partner". In order to achieve the targets of providing customers with reliable power products from time to time and become the long-lasting reliable power partner, MEAN WELL enhances the company’s competitiveness through the strategy by focusing on Products, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Service and Reliable Relationship (PQCDSR).

From 2010 to 2014, MEAN WELL has committed to enhancing our brand image, actively participating in government awards, and focusing on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Meanwhile, MEAN WELL established the Public Welfare Committee to promote various public welfare activities.

In 2015, MEAN WELL was selected as a potential Mittelstand Enterprise issued by Industrial Development Bureau (IDB), Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) of Taiwan, and will continue heading toward the world-leading brand in power supply industry.

In 2018, MEAN WELL's Group Marketing Center was officially established. This year has been announced as "The genesis of MEAN WELL brand-enhancement", and promoting the employee branding was listed as an important task in the annual directive plan.
